Upgrade Path for End of Life Cisco 5915 and Cisco 5940 Embedded Services Routers

XChange6300 Points the Way Forward

For customers facing discontinued support for the Cisco 5915 and Cisco 5940 Embedded Services Routers (ESRs), the XChange6300 bare‑metal router from X-ES is an ideal replacement for all your Cisco IOS-XE® networking and communications needs.

Maximize Networking Performance

The XChange6300 ESR is a conduction-cooled XMC/PMC router card that can plug into existing sockets or be used in standalone applications. Like the end-of-life Cisco routers, the XChange6300 extends Cisco’s industry-leading Mobile Ready Net technology to provide highly secure data, voice, and video communications to stationary and mobile network nodes across wired and wireless links. The XChange6300 can operate as a standalone Layer 3 router or bring Layer 3 capability to X-ES’ line of rugged managed Layer 2 embedded Ethernet switches, enabling a Layer 2 and Layer 3 single-slot solution.

Rugged and Mission-Ready

X-ES has differentiated the XChange6300 from other ESRs by designing the most rugged solution in the industry for Cisco IOS-XE® functionality. The XChange6300 boasts advanced ruggedization features and support, including leaded solder assembly to mitigate tin whiskering, ensuring persistent, mission-critical routing functionality in even the harshest environments. X-ES engineers can also offer configuration options to support unique project requirements, such as parylene conformal coating for added protection.

Long Lifecycle Support

The XChange6300 is also backed by X-ES’ Configuration Management Control process, which proactively monitors for components that are about to be discontinued and then offers the customer notifications, impact assessments, and the option for last-time buys of the obsolete component. Designed for customers with long product runways, X-ES offers the XChange6300 as a logical, dependable way to transition off the EOL Cisco 5915 and Cisco 5940 ESRs.
