Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is expanding our Sales team and seeking a Sales Engineer to coordinate the selling of technologically complex embedded products. The responsibilities include maintaining an extensive knowledge of our products and processes, using that knowledge to evaluate customer requirements, and responding to customer requests. Communication, professional relationship-building, and technical competence are key to success in this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Qualify and evaluate new business opportunities
- Map customer requirements to X-ES products and capabilities, and influence customer decision-making process
- Manage the sales process from initial lead to order receipt
- Report revenue targets and assist in developing plans to increase revenue
- Maintain a large number of customer opportunities simultaneously
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar engineering field is required
- Familiarity with embedded systems or electronic assemblies
- Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI
- Ability to travel as needed (approx. up to 25%)
Desired Qualifications
- Five years of related professional experience preferred
- Prior experience in embedded computing is preferred
- Comfortable with customer interaction from pre-sales commitment to full rate production
- Ability to exercise a high degree of judgment and technical creativity to accomplish goals
- High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
