The XPand6212 and XPand6211, a pair of Small Form Factor (SFF), COTS, rugged embedded systems, are now available from Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES).
With their high-performance networking and communications capabilities and lightweight, SWaP-optimized design, these systems are ideal for deployed applications where connectivity is key to mission success.
XPand6212 is designed to maximize processing performance and signals intelligence with its XPedite7670 Intel® Xeon® D Single Board Computer. XPand6211 is configured for high-performance networking with a 24-port Gigabit Ethernet switch, an integrated XPedite5205 XMC/PMC Embedded Services Router (ESR) running Cisco IOS® software to support secure, mission-critical communications.
Both systems are qualified to the rigorous MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 standards and purpose-built to withstand punishing environmental conditions in a range of military and industrial applications.

Communications
Both the XPand6211 and XPand6212 support mission-critical communications with an integrated XPedite5205 XMC/PMC Embedded Services Router (ESR). The XPedite5205 runs Cisco IOS® software with Cisco Mobile Ready Net capabilities, providing highly secure data, voice, and video communications to stationary and mobile network nodes across wired and wireless links.
System integrators can combine the XPedite5205 with UHF, VHF, Wi-Fi, and other radio platforms to create mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) without needing a connection to central infrastructure for military and emergency response.
The XPedite5205 is certified to NIST FIPS 140-2 Overall Level 1 (certificate #2242) and NIAP Common Criteria (CC) validated.
