Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) is looking for a detail-oriented Metrology Technician to ensure our products meet all quality standards. This day-shift team member will assist with monitoring the calibrated equipment system, including maintaining the equipment database and records, coordinating both on-site and off-site calibrations, and performing on-site equipment verifications. When not working on metrology tasks, the right candidate will use a combination of their technical and communication skills to support the Quality and Process department.

Metrology Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the calibration database and records
  • Support on-site and off-site equipment calibrations
  • Perform on-site equipment verifications
  • Support equipment purchases, RMAs, and repairs
  • Maintain department reports and metrics
  • Support the equipment needs of multiple cross-functional teams
  • Communicate with internal customers about the status of their equipment
  • Support, investigate, and document equipment out of specification and failures instances
  • Write and update verification procedures

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited high school (or valid General Educational Development certificate)
  • Computer proficiency and a high level of organization with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently while troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to frequently lift 50+ pounds, work in confined spaces on hands and knees beneath benches for extended durations, and crawl into thermal chambers as needed
  • Calibration Technician Certification, Associate’s degree in Engineering or Electronics, or equivalent related work experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude maintained through trying situations
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • General understanding of calibration technology
  • Ability to present to small and large groups
  • Ability to communicate effectively in order to mentor trainees
