Extreme Engineering Solutions (X-ES) seeks an experienced Program Manager to help lead the design, development, production, and customer interactions of complex circuit card assemblies. This individual will provide day-to-day program leadership to successfully deliver products for our customers that align with the strategic objectives of our company.

Responsibilities for this role include coordinating solutions amongst cross-functional teams and driving actions through to completion with a sense of urgency. Communication, teamwork, and risk/opportunity-based critical thinking are key to success in this position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overall ownership for program milestones and deliverables throughout the design, development, and early production phases
  • Schedule creation, maintenance, and communication within the company and to customers
  • Leverage program-level objectives to help define and maintain tasks for the program team
  • Primary point of contact for the customer during the design, development, and early production phases
  • Understand and challenge what is happening within the program without heavy dependence on the technical staff
  • Schedule, prepare, and run cross-functional meetings
  • Direct and organize cross-functional problem-solving initiatives
  • Assist project managers in supporting internal processes, including the development of product requirements and internal documentation, reviewing commitments, and maintaining product configurations
  • Understand and challenge complex engineering decisions and timelines
  • Identify and communicate program risks
  • Identify resource requirements to complete program tasks and potential resource limitations
  • Assist in the preparation of corporate business reviews for executive and senior leadership
  • Be a hands-on leader who achieves success through modeling best practices and a service attitude

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a strong background in electrical, mechanical, or software engineering
  • Minimum of thirteen (13+) years of applicable professional experience in engineering for the design and development of complex products
  • Minimum of seven (7+) years of applicable professional experience in program management for the design, development, and production of complex products
  • Highly skilled in developing, driving, and maintaining complex development and production schedules
  • Experience managing production products through complex manufacturing processes
  • Highly self-motivated in order to drive projects forward, with strong organizational skills and ability to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of judgment and creativity to accomplish goals
  • High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Ability to work onsite from our facility located at 9901 Silicon Prairie Parkway in Verona, WI

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or applicable Business field
  • Comfortable with customer interaction from pre-sales commitment to full rate production
  • Prior experience in a managerial or leadership role
