Extreme Engineering Solutions, Inc. (X-ES) announces availability of the XPedite5401, a conduction-cooled XMC/PrPMC module that supports the NXP (formerly Freescale) QorIQ P3, P4, and P5 processor families. The XPedite5401 joins the existing XPedite550x line of XMC/PrPMC modules, which support the NXP QorIQ P1 and P2 processor families. The complete line of QorIQ XMC/PrPMC modules provides processor mezzanine solutions that span a broad spectrum of embedded applications and satisfy a wide range of power, performance, and feature requirements.
The XPedite5401 supports multiple NXP QorIQ processors. The lowest power solution utilizes the P3041 with four Power Architecture® e500mc cores at up to 1.5 GHz. Other processor options include the P4080 with eight Power Architecture® e500mc cores at up to 1.5 GHz, the P5010 with one 64-bit Power Architecture® e5500 core at up to 2 GHz, and the P5020 with two 64-bit Power Architecture® e5500 cores at up to 2 GHz. The module also provides two channels of DDR3-1333 ECC SDRAM, up to 8 GB (4 GB each), up to 16 GB of user flash and 256 MB of boot flash (with redundancy), two Gigabit Ethernet ports, a x4 PCI Express interface to P15, and two SATA 3 Gb/s ports to P16. Linux, Wind River VxWorks, and Green Hills INTEGRITY BSPs are available.
In addition to conduction-cooled XMC/PrPMC, X-ES supports the QorIQ P3, P4, and P5 processors across our seven other industry-standard form factors: COM Express, 3U VPX, 6U VPX, 3U CompactPCI, 6U CompactPCI, 6U VME, and air-cooled XMC/PrPMC. The XPedite5430 (3U CompactPCI), the XCalibur1600 (6U CompactPCI), the XPedite5470 (3U VPX), and the XPedite5400 (air-cooled XMC/PMC) are currently available.
